Contests and Follow Friday!

M ost who know me, are vaguely aware of how many blogs I follow. As of right now, I am subscribed to 189 different RSS Feeds. So, I thought I should share the love, and some of my favs. I guess you can call today my own little version of Follow Friday.

I’ve been following “Forever Photography Studio” for a while now. They are an awesome photographer hubbie and wife team who work in the HUGE state of Texas. Their work has the vintage, etherial look of an print produced in the darkroom. I’ve seen their shoots and weddings take place on plantations, in fields, and my personal fav….an old beat-up bus. Absolutely STUNNING work!!

Gabriel Ryan is one of my wedding photography heros. HERO!!! I tell you!!! Before I shoot a wedding, I make sure my batteries are charged, my equipment is accounted for and packed, and I check out the recent work of Gabriel Ryan. Gabriel and Carly are ALSO a hubby and wife team (hmmm…..perhaps I need to find a guy for more than one reason) who work out of Cali. Their work is art (not to mention I am absolutely in LOVE with their website!!).

And finally, b/c my life not only revolves around “white weddings” said in the voice of Billy Idol, one of my all-time favorite Pet Photography Studios has a blog featuring the cute the cuddly four legged critters. Plus, how awesome is the name Cowbelly!!?? It rolls off the tongue and makes no sense at all. Jamie works out of the Seattle area.

I got some fun news yesterday as I was driving home from a photoshoot in Rockville. An image I took of Dora last month was given seventh place in the Pampered Puppy competition!! Thousands of entries were received, and I am flattered that they chose Dora as one of the top ten!!

This competition is a monthly event for the site…so if you have those puppy pictures that you think are astounding, send ‘em in!!!
