I . Love. Details. But do you know what I love to shoot at weddings more than the details? (Anyone who knows me is about to be shocked…) KIDS!!! They have the cutest expressions, the cutest dresses, the cutest dances, THE CUTEST EVERYTHING!!! They are the guests at the wedding who are not worried about getting in trouble, who don’t mind falling asleep on the nearest dining chair, and who are perfectly happy to dance wildly on the dance floor with cake smeared across their face.
CUTE!!!!!
So, in honor of my love for the kids photos…here are some of my favs from this year.
These precious flower girl’s were from last weeks wedding! Their mother let them borrow her make-up and do each other’s. It was probably the sweetest thing!! If I had done my sister’s make-up at that age, I would have given her a clown face. *snicker* Actually, if I did her make-up now, I would probably STILL give her a clown face.

This little girl had the most absolutely most stunning eyes I have ever seen. They were like an icy blue-grey. This flower girl was pretty quiet, laying on the floor waiting to get her hair done. I was surprised when she didn’t really acknowledge the weird adult who plopped down in front of her on the carpet to take her picture. She just stared into the lens. Thank you. Thank you little girl for giving me such a beautiful portrait!!!

This ring bearer, part of Melissa and Josh’s Scottish ceremony, spent a good majority of his morning with a bunch of women working to figure out how his kilt worked. Luckily, it was eventually figured out and he led the way down the isle for the bridal party. (That’s the flower girl from above standing behind him in the photo on the right.)

This, like all of these shots, was completely un-posed. The night was beginning to wear on, and this little girl had obviously had her fill of candy. She was laying her head on the dining room chair, watching her friends playing on the dance floor. I don’t even think she noticed I was there.

This little man got hot on the dance floor, and stripped.

Then got in trouble and put his shirt back on. ![]()

And finally, when your 5, it’s not embarassing to dance by yourself. I only wish it was still endearing when you’re 26. *sigh*
I have so many more images of the sugary sweetness that are kids, but unfortunately….that would make the post as long as my current to-do list. Not pretty. Don’t forget to keep up to date with what I am doing via Twitter or Facebook!!!
