A few months ago, I left Seattle and ventured home to the big V.A. to spend time with family and friends…and the time luckily included a day spent with this little fellow!!!
And before you go off saying “You photoshopped the heck out of that kids eyes, Terra!”…not photoshopped! Yeah. Alex is going to be oooooooone handsome fella when he gets older!!
I met Mark and Leigh Ann in Old Town Leesburg at the courthouse where they had their wedding portraits done. Such a cute idea, huh? To have their new family photographed in the same location?
We started off easy…you know, looking cute, climbing on things…drooling.
Alex has started to waddle (with assistance)…so getting some action shots out of this little hoodlum was super easy!
This kid’s teeth kill me every time.
But when one doesn’t feel like practicing their walk…their is always being carried.
Don’t look so worried, Alex. Sucking face is COMPLETELY normal. I promise.
We finished putzing around Leesburg and headed over to Ida Lee Park…about a five minute drive.
Calm down now, Alex. You’re not THAT cute.
K. Maybe your are.
I love family portraits!! I love being able to capture those moments that are not posed. I love the idea that a family can look back at their photographs and say “yeah…that was us.”
No awkward family photographs for THIS photographer!!!
Shooting at Ida Lee Park is amazing. There are old barns, wide fields, tall grass and play grounds. It’s KIIIIIND of a photographers playground.
It was Alex’s playground too.
LOOK AT THOSE WIDDLE PUDGY WUDGY HANDSY WANDSIES!!!!!
I would just like to preface this picture with *mom and dad’s hands were NEVER off of this kid!! I just happen to be a photoshop magician. :)
RIDE ‘EM ALEX!!!
See? Mom and dad. :D
Alex, you could sell ice to an Eskimo with that grin.
I think that if someone, hypothetically speaking of course, were to look up the definition of “cherubic”…a picture of Alex would accompany the definition.
Thank you so MUCH to Leigh Anne and Mark for chilling with me for the afternoon!!!! And I’m THRILLED I got to meet little Alex!!! I can’t wait to see him again when I come home!!! I expect weird board games and wine night in the future!!!
