Simply Canvas

If you follow me on Twitter, and you were paying attention to the few lines of jibberish I tweeted day before yesterday, you will no doubt know of my love/hate relationship with the Fedex man.  According to the tracking number I had been provided, I could expect the “Truck O’ Goodness”  before the close of the day.  By  6:52, however, the man had not arrived.  I wasn’t mad by any means!!  (It takes a whole lot more to get me peaved.)  I was pretty ancy, though.  Just when I thought I would have to wait a whole ‘nother 8 hours for my precious package….the doorbell rang!!

Package Delivered!!

And what was in said package??  My first order from my new favorite canvas company!!  *Shoot me an email if your a professional photog and want to know where these beautiful pieces came from!!*

Awww…c’mon!  You might not be that excited, but I was!!  Just stick with me for a couple more seconds. I have pictures….*that was said in a sing-song, convincing voice*  I ordered three canvas prints with three different backings and hanging methods.  The quality is FABULOUS!!  They shipped within the five days their website quoted.

The first is my personal fav and the largest.  It’s a 22×30 – 1.5 Inches with a Black Paper Backing and Sawtooth Hanger.

The second canvas I got was the 18×24 Gallery Wrapped Canvas with open back and hanger wire.

And the third and final piece…. the 6×10 3/4″ stretcher bar open back with hanger hardware.

I am absolutely IN LOVE with the quality of these pieces.  They came shipped in a large box, wrapped in a foam and cardboard slats.  They were very well protected.

In a parting note, I would like to remind all of you business owning photogs out there how important customer service is.  As much as I gave FedEx a hard time the other day, I received probably some of the best customer service in my life from them.  About a minute after my “Whoa is me….FedEx is not here” tweet went out, I got a responding Tweet from a member of FedEx’s Media Relations team, Matt Ceniceros,  in TN asking if there was anything he could do to help.  I felt really bad about my complaining!!!  But I told him that I still loved the company and was just goofing around.  No problem needed to be solved.

I think that may be first time in the history of a company (in my experience) that they have sought to correct a problem that was never layed on their plate.  I never said anything to them!!  It was nice to feel cared for.  :)

Right…I’m done blabbering.  Off to do something productive.

Dianeschuller@gmail.com - Wow, these do look great. I’ve been trying to find a great canvas place here in Canada.
Thank you SO much for your great response over at Shutter Sisters. I’m still an amateur photog but last year I was asked to cover a few local events and that got me a few gigs and I’m hoping to do more this year so I’m working at improving my online presence. I really appreciate your great feedback on ProPhotoBlog over at SS. It looks great!!April 23, 2009 – 2:57 PM
