Wedding Photography eBook – “Publish Your Photography: Let’s Get Physical”

“Give me 2 hours, and I’ll get you published!” All you need is a computer, a pad of paper, a pen and a nearby bookstore.

Ever wonder how to start on the twisty turny path to getting your work featured in blogs and publications? I will walk you through 34 step-by-step pages of how to do the research, submit…and not tick-off the editors. All of what is needed to procure the final holy grail of the photography industry (well…unless you are some weird-o photographer who is completely against commercialism) is in here.

I don’t pad the topic with fluff, (although there are a few witty jokes, if I do say so myself, thrown in). The book can be read in 2 hours, and the research can be started in an afternoon and have you well on your way to getting your photography where it belongs….in front of the masses.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO BEING PUBLISHED?

  • Your work is seen by the masses!
  • Your image is validated to customers.
  • If you are published in high end publications, your quality of clients will increase drastically.
  • (In case you didn’t catch that last statement…that means THEY WILL PAY YOU MORE!!!!!)
  • Vendors will be excited to work with and recommend you.
  • There is potential for travel!!  High- end destination brides find their photographers in the publications.
  • You can expand your horizons to more than just taking photographs.
  • Your traffic will increase.
  • Your following and subscribers will increase.
  • You will get rave reviews from not only your clients, but your client’s families.
  • Published clients are repeat clients.

WHAT’S IN THE BOOK???

We cover:

Market Research – I go over in detail the places you should be doing your research and how to determine which publications are perfect for your location and market.

Building an Inspiration Database – This is the SECRET to getting published!!  Without this, you won’t get anywhere near your goals OR the editors.

What Do the Publications Want? – Most photographers submit to blogs and magazines without rhyme or reason. You MUST have  a plan when you start submitting…and in this book I help you make that plan.

Shooting For Publications – Getting published doesn’t start behind the computer screen, but behind your camera.  I preach about how to think “PUBLISHED” from the very beginning.

Editing – The edits on your images are the final say in weather they will pass the editor’s initial inspection.  I go over some DO’s and MAJOR DONT’S you should know before hitting that “send” button.

Print vs. Digital – I go over the pros and cons of blogs versus print. Yes…there are cons. This section takes practice, since you’ll have to apply it a different way for EVERY submission.

Putting Together Your Submission – Here is where it gets juicy.  I show you, in detail, how to put together your submission properly and professionally. It ‘aint just “Stick It In the Mail” and “Cold Calls” anymore Toto.

Etiquette – Editors deal with thousands of photographers a year. And the quickest way to tick them off is to not realize this. This section goes over, in detail, how to speak to editor, how to inquire as to the status of your submission, and the appropriate action to take when you want to send you submission somewhere else.

 …And MORE!!
